Yes, definitely. Infrastructure plays a major role on the selection of the college and most of the accreditation board looks through the infrastructure and well-equipped classrooms.

Yes, it is one of the factors to think of while joining any college. Infrastructure generally consists of different types of facilities available in a college. This can be related to academics or can be non-related too. Some of the examples of academic related infrastructure is different types of labs. For example, in NIT Trichy, there are various labs for each department and these are used throughout the academic curriculum. Apart from labs for experiments, NIT Trichy has a computer center named Octagon which is open 24/7 all the year round. Other facilities can be like library. NIT Trichy has a VAST library with around 10 lakh books. So, whoever is interested in learning can avail these facilities. So, all the colleges must have basic labs and library to provide proper education to students. Apart from that colleges can have Gyms, Sports centers and other facilities for overall development of students. Infrastructure is like a good package to attract more people. But if the thing inside the package is not good enough then after a few times people will understand its worth. Large campus, better facilities is not necessary for everyone. It is just a way to attract people and earn money from them. Better faculty, placements and pass out students are the real advertisements for a college.
