This is completely your point of view. I think people choose HR only out of passion for the subject.It's of course like any other area of specialization - if you are good in what you do go ahead, don't have second thoughts. I'm an electronics and communication engineer now doing Marketing, throughout my MBA my friends, profs, interviewers kept asking me "So tell me why Marketing after an Engineering?" The concept of engineer and his responsibility is changing very fast, in the world of outsourcing and technological advancement it is obvious that mere an engineering graduation takes you to the status of not above technician. You need to play a very important role of HR management in the field, it is very nice thinking to take up HR as an additional knowledge asset so go ahead with your decision. All the best.
