BCA is a 3 years’ duration job oriented graduation degree course in the field of Information Technology. The course is designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of information technology in both computer software and hardware. B.Sc is a science graduation degree. If you do BCA after B.Sc your three years effort of doing B.Sc may go waste. In addition, you will lose three years of opportunity cost while doing BCA. It will be more beneficial for you as B.Sc graduates do MCA or M.Sc computer science or M.Sc IT. MCA is a higher post graduate qualification in comparison to BCA. M.Sc computer science/IT and MCA are treated equivalent to B.Tech computer science/IT by Indian IT industry and you will be able to get good campus placement and can have long term successful IT career.
