No, it is not necessary to do B.Tech. You can pursue any computer science degree to become a system analyst. Usually what we see is, the role of system analyst is overlapped with the business analyst. Also, a system analyst can be involved in the designing system or test the system as well. You will initially have to understand the scope of the system analyst. The foremost thing needed to become a system analyst is to be passionate about understanding the system and technology. The typical role of a systems analyst might involve the following: - Distinguish, comprehend and plan for organizational and human impacts of planned systems, and make sure that novel technical requirements are appropriately integrated with current processes and skill sets. Interact with designers to understand software limitations. - Help programmers during system development, e.g. provide use cases, flowcharts or even database design. - Perform system testing. - Deploy the completed system. - Plan a system flow from the ground up. - Interact with internal users and consumers to learn and document necessities that are then used to produce business requirements documents. - Pen down technical requirements from a critical phase. - Document requirements or contribute to user manuals. - Most of these are covered in standard business analysis training. You can complete the formal training to launch your career as the system analyst. Check out the course that covers all above in addition to strategy analysis and business analysis.
