Is it necessary to opt for dual specialisation in MBA (marketing and finance)? Can I get a good job after completing MBA in finance?

I am of the opinion that Generic MBA is best for students who do not have any management functional experience or job experience. Generic MBA exposes students in all management functions such as Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, and Strategy etc. for all kind of industries from FMCG to core technology companies. Generic MBA is an all-purpose degree which provides choose to graduates to choose his career options based on his interest, strength in management functional area and personality traits. Generic MBA from top B Schools have career opportunities in the field of consulting, Business Analyst, Pre sales support, Project Managers, Functional Managers, operations management in private, government, PSU and NGOs. Generic MBA mostly start career as Management trainee and are given experience in all functions with on the job before specializing in one or two function. Generic MBA is also a good graduate degree for students who want to be an entrepreneur. Once you gain on the job experience in one or two management function, student can chose his specialization. From middle management and upward, you require exposure to all management functions for growth and day to day working.
