No, you should appear in the UPSC exam for NDA and if you want to become an officer in Indian Armed Forces then SSB is the first stage you should clear.

No, it is not possible to join Indian Army, as officer without cracking NDA or SSB. SSB is must to be cracked to join Indian Army as officer. You can get direct SSB call on basis of your class 12th result by applying for the Technical Entry Scheme (TES) on the website

There is no option available to join Indian Army without giving NDA or SSB exam. In this case, you can be an officer, only if you are a medical MBBS degree holder. Else, you have to crack at least SSB interview to be an officer.
