Both the streams are different. You can say one thing definitely that to get a better opportunity in science you really need to work hard but in commerce you can get a better college without losing your sleep. For the packages, if you are a brilliant science student then you will get a higher package easily whereas in commerce you can get it by doing MBA with full effort.

Well, if you are planning to go for jobs such as chartered accountancy, then you will be paid high, but there is also a cut throat competition when you apply for a job as that profession is of high demand just like engineering and medicine, which are also having a similar fate. But, the prospects are more or less the same for Science as well as commerce, so choose wisely.
