Placement record is not bad. Its good. However to be true, college doesn't set any requirement criteria to companies for all students to sit in placements. Even a student with 50% is allowed for placements. That is why package sometimes goes a bit low. As per current statistics 5-7 lacs is average package. As per my experience I hold 3.6 years as a professional ORACLE apps DBA, because of this, sometimes students like me try outside campus too for better package.
