Yes, it is possible to go for M.Arch after B.Tech in civil engineering. Master of Architecture is a 2- year long postgraduate course divided into 4 semesters. The course prepares enrolled students in the basics of planning and its applications in daily life. The course explores on an advanced level, the goals of sustained development, planning, and urban and rural physical and social dimensions. Students looking for admission for M.Arch course need to have completed graduation in Architecture or equivalent course from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate score of 50% marks. GATE, CEED are the entrance exams one can look for Masters. Job profiles offered after M.Arch are - Design Architect, Project Architect, Landscape Architect, Project Manager, Assistant Professor. Average package is around INR 4-5 lpa. M. Arch holders have a number of opportunities in the government sector. Many changes have been happening in the architectural field. Some of the opportunities are in the following sectors:- Municipalities, Central and State Public Work Departments, Housing Development Corporations, Public Works Department (PWD) etc.
