A Degree in Journalism is necessary these days to enter the ever-expanding domain of jobs and careers. The media houses need thousands of youngsters each year to take up jobs that vary from News reporting to graphic designing' from camera to content writing and from simple public relation activities to event management at big levels. A degree is worth. Question is about the utility of a Distance Education mode. There is a difference between the Regular and Distance Modes and that is of the Level of Teaching-Learning. Regular Studies give enough amount of exposure as well as the opportunity for the students to expand the horizons of skills and expertise. The Distance Mode limits the scope of that.If there are valid reasons and the learners is determined to ensure that the learning will not be caged because of the Distance mode, it can be done from a good Distance Learning University/Institution. IGNOU, Symbiosis, IIMC are the known names.
