Is it worth to pursue telecommunication engineering from this college? What is the placement record of this branch?

Telecommunication Engineering is a good branch in RVCE. The placements of this branch comes at 4th position i.e. after CSE, ISE and ECE. The highest package from the branch, this year, was 14 LPA offered to 2 students. Communication giant such as Cisco, Airtel, Broadcom, etc come for placements for telecommunication students. Many IT companies like Deloitte, Origo, etc. hire telecommunication students at a package of 6-10 LPA. However, the faculty line up is not that good in telecommunication engineering branch. Apart from 2-3 professors, rest all are assistant professor or lecturers. Summing up the answer, I would suggest you to go ahead choose this branch, but don't expect too much from the teachers.
