Is LPU a good college for both tech and computer science?

LPU is one of the leading universities in India. It offers various courses related to technology and Science, so choosing LPU for both technology and computer science is a preferable one. Whatever the university you study, you need to work on your interests. Only thing that a college/university can do is to support you.

I would suggest traveling south India for technical education instead of north. In north it would be better to go for AICTE approved colleges instead of universities.

Yes, LPU is a good university and has the highest in campus placements in CSE branch only with an annual average package of rs.7 Lacs per annum.

LPU is a private university which is also counted in the list of top universities for engineering. People from abroad come here to study. That shows that their teaching is out of the box. So that indicates that it is surely a good college.
