Its depend on the university which you choose. It is not compulsory that you have a mathematical background but you must be aware of mathematical concepts because in most of the universities maths is taught as the core subject for at least one semester.

Yes, I would like to tell you that yes, you need good mathematical skills because you have to give maths-1, 2 and 3 exams during your BCA and to clear them you at least should know calculus and should have basic understanding of class 12th mathematics. For programming also, you need to develop logic to code, therefore I would say that maths plays a major role but if you have interest in coding and want to join in IT field then you must take BCA and practice mathematics.

No, exactly we can say as different universities gave their own criteria for BCA where some asks for Maths whereas some doesn't. So, basically it is not an issue. Moreover for a CS student Maths isn't tough enough basically.
