Both are excellent institutions. NICMAR has contributed a lot to the construction industry in India and RICS is a global institution, the world's leading professional qualification and standard setting body for the real estate and construction sector with 185,000 members in 146 countries around the world. So around the world, you will find RICS qualified members working in top positions in top companies around the world. So, what Chartered accountants are to the accounting profession, RICS is to the world of real estate and construction and is the leading chartered professional qualification globally and a passport for a global career. To become a Member of the RICS, the first step in your journey that you need is an RICS accredited degree and the RICS School of Built environment, Amity University are RICS accredited courses(these are the only RICS accredited courses in India) where RICS itself is providing its expertise in helping the university deliver these programs. AT RICSSBE our intent is to expose all our MBA CPM student to project life cycle i.e how one should be able to handle a project from planning stage to Delivery looking at every aspect of the project ( Risk, Quality, Finance as well as Human Resource factors) during the process. The CPM program will equip you with the knowledge and skills that will help you become a catalyst in successful delivery of projects by integrating the inputs of specialists such as architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, sustainability experts, finance experts, and others. The program is based on knowledge areas of project management, business management, construction, sustainability and behavioral aspects of projects. You will be equipped with models, tools, and techniques to manage time, cost, quality, safety, risk, sustainability and human resources on large and complex projects of the built environment sector. The program is entire on project management area. So if you see during the program more focus is given project management. Today what the industry is looking for are civil engineers who also have good management skills (techno managers) and your skill set would be valuable for your career.
