BITSAT writes in its syllabus that questions are from a big book of MCQ in which question are mainly from NCERT books. So it is really important to go through this book for scoring good marks. All the students who are preparing for engineering or medical entrance exam must consider NCERT books as holy book for entrance exam. Questions may be twisted or puzzled by maximum questions coming from the NCERT books. Students can study NCERT and write all the key points on her note book so at the time of revision it is easier for revisions. Any student can solve about 65% of question if he/she has studied NCERT books. As NCERT books are not modified since many year so obviously some new topics are missing from the book or something removed from syllabus which is still in the book so keep on checking your preparation with syllabus of exam and you may follow these books which is quite enough. One can go through D. C. Pandey for physics. Arihant books for Maths and Cengeage publication for mathematics and previous question paper of BITSAT but focus on one thing, never forget NCERT book.

NCERT books are necessary but not sufficient. See, competition is increasing and only settling for fundamental books is not enough the competitive exams. Every competitive exam requires has five stages viz clearing fundamentals, Practice, Notes Making, revision with Mock Tests. NCERT books shall definitely help you in Notes making and clearing fundamentals and that too at initial levels. Coming to each subject individually, 1: CHEMISTRY: Chemistry is Enough in NCERT when it comes for BITSAT, both in organic and inorganic chemistry. Study chemistry books thoroughly and make good and precise notes with the use of some other books(Although NCERT shall cover most of the parts) and definitely solve a lot of questions for efficiency and time management, and you are definitely done for the chemistry part. 2: PHYSICS: For some topics, NCERT books are in Depth and fundamentals are explained very smoothly, when it comes to physics section. For concepts, you can also refer HC Verma because it shall provide you with the better understanding of fundamentals and also it has a lot of fundamentals-based questions that shall definitely help you. So, HC Verma with NCERT will be more than enough to score well in BITSAT 3: MATHEMATICS: Maths section again requires a lot of practice for you to be efficient in solving questions and time management and hence solving NCERT books shall not be sufficient alone. For that Arihant BISTAT books shall do. So, NCERT books are definitely important and necessary for concept building, but it has not many problems to practice and definitely it is foolish to stick to one book for any competitive exam. So, Study NCERT books to the core again and again and definitely refer other books for practicing and it will definitely be sufficient for you to crack BITSAT. Hope That Helps All the best.

While NCERT will be a great help while studying for any exam, only NCERT is not enough in most of the cases. NCERT can be used to build basic concepts as it is surprisingly detailed in some places. But after that you should also study a little more advanced stuff. Specifically, for BITSAT, there's a previous years question papers book. They'll give you an idea about what to expect. The important thing is enough practice and getting used to solving problems under practice, and for that, NCERT is not enough. The subjects included in the BITSAT include mathematics, physics, chemistry, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. So need to focus on the reference books as well to ensure that you cover all parts of each topics.
