Bachelors' (BA) in Hotel management is about the undergraduate course of 4 year duration, where you will be dealing with the operation and management of the hotel, mainly you won't be doing service, and you will be in the management section. B.Sc in Hotel Management: Three year program equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the hospitality sector and also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire knowledge and skill standards in all areas such as the core department of a hotel related to Food Production, Food and Beverage Management and Catering operations, General Management, Tourism Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Finance. In this student will develop an overview of Hotel administration, its environment, and management with essential skills and tools necessary for running a hotel successfully.

B.Sc in hospitality and hotel administration is generally offered by Central Govt. IHMs and other institutes affiliated to NCHMCT offer courses of 3-years duration, while BHM is mostly offered by private institutes affiliated to state universities and is of 4-years duration. Apart from this, there is no such major difference as both the degrees are equally recognised by industry and for other purposes.
