There are multiple job opportunities available in the field of IT for computer science graduates. NASSCOM has forecasted that IT industry exports will grow by 12-14% and domestic market by 15-17% in FY2016. It is an excellent career opportunity. Indias IT-BPM industry is projected to grow ~8% in FY2017 to USD 154 billion. In light of the very disruptive emerging technologies, the industry is re-imagining itself to become the Digital Solutions Partner for the world. Computer science graduates from prestigious engineering colleges have a lot of opportunities and excellent scope for career growth.

There is great scope as the new skill (machine learning, artificial intelligence, data science, cyber security) coming to this course are very helpful and there is a great need to solve this problem technically which can easily be done by a CSE engineer. By getting all these skills, you get better placements in the IT companies.

Also, after taking up Ph.D programme, one may also build a career in the research and development sector. The good thing about BE/B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering programme is that it also allows one to remain self-employed. The average starting salary is generally between 3-5 LPA. One may start one's own programming and software development venture and remain self-employed. All the best.
