Specifically if you are talking about placement after doing B.Arch course , then IIT Kharagpur has no match. people landing up with jobs in MNCs and e-commerce with pacakge as much as 27lakhs !!. Yes you heard me right. IIT KGP often pulls off 100% placement in B.Arch course with companies varying from flipkart/Microsoft to core companies like Total environment and space matrix . There is a big misconception in India that Architects cannot get placed. But actually it is not the case. The placement stats in IIT roorkee is also impressive. Daar ,VConstruction came there for placements. SPA Delhi/NITs have also organised placement , though not so great but people do get jobs in good companies frm campus. But yes it is equally true that Architecture is not a course like B.tech where you study specifically for placements. It's a professional course like Law/medicine, where very few lucky ones gets placed . Once you pass out, you can opt for off campus placement in Architecture firms. If you have a good skills, then you will get a job.
