Surely web design today offers a better design career than graphic design in most cases. However, as the speeds are increasing we are seeing more multimedia content being delivered online and most of the current web design courses are inadequate when it comes to handling multimedia. A more generic multimedia or animation course would be much better in the longer run as long as it is also covering web design. More specifically, Web Design course at Arena is 6 months of fast track and 12 months on normal track. The course is called GWD. Alternatively you can go for AAIP on fast track and finish within 2 years. Then you'll be equipped for Web Design (depending on centre policy, e.g. at chandigarh arena we offer dreamweaver alongside aaip), animation, vfx, graphic design. etc at the end of this period. This would ensure that you're ready for web design (the career you're looking at right now) as well as many more career options that the future holds for the design fraternity. So you would not miss out when the growth starts with animation and gaming. Wish you the best for your career.
