Admission in IITs for MCA is by the Joint Admission Test (JAM) for M.Sc. JAM is an admission test to Master of Science (M.Sc.) and other post-graduate science programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Science, and other institutes. The main objective of JAM is to provide admissions to various M.Sc., M.Sc.-Ph.D. dual-degree and other post-graduate programs based on the performance in a single test. Eligibility Requirement (ER) for admissions in IISc and IITs based on JAM is as follows: . (a) All candidates admitted through JAM should have a Bachelor’s degree. (b) At least 55% aggregate marks, without rounding off, (taking into account all subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/OBC-NCL Category Candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks, without rounding off, (taking into account all subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined) for SC/ST and PwD Category Candidates in the qualifying degree.
