First of all, congratulations Mandeep for your score. According to your score, you would get admission in many good engineering colleges except IIT. I would not suggest you to take a one year drop only for IITJEE as in the long run, the college matters less. It's your hard work which matters the most. Also, with the growing competition, there's a fair chance of not getting an IIT next year and regretting the loss. Though, if you are confident enough to work hard and get an IIT next year, be confident and go on. All the best!

You should not drop a year. Instead, take admission in some other good college.
