No need to do that. As you got your choice 1 branch, there is no way to degrade to lower branch or upgrade from there. You are safe. Your branch will automatically be frozen as you got your first choice.

If you already have got the first choice in your choice filling list, then you can't be upgraded anymore, so you don't need to freeze your branch. Still if you want to be sure of getting that branch, you may try and freeze it.

If you get number 1 choice that you have filled, then it will automatically get frozen.

If you get your first preference then you need not worry about freezing, it will automatically get freeze.
