Sure, you can do MBA after doing B.Tech in mechanical engineering. After that you can choose MBA in manufacturing management. It has very good choice for the career points.

It depends on your future goals. MBA is a game changer and career booster. Keep working and then pursue MBA. I am a student of Doon Business School, Dehradun. Doon Business School came into existence 12 years ago and the placements are among the best in North India.

Yes, MBA is too good for Mechanical Engineers, because you learn lot many subjects in Mechanical engineering related to MBA. And being mechanical engineers you are creative. Companies with mechanical engineering requires sales executive who knows knowledge about mechanics, not just pure business knowledge. When a mechanical engineer with MBA goes out to sell product based on Car (for example), he can better explain what is BHP and HP or RPM. If you are planning to do it, then go for it. What type of MBA will be best? - Operation Managemnt (Supply chain) - Human Resources - Product Management.

I suggest you to complete MBA and try get into management field. MBA had number of specialization to specialize and improve your skills on it. The most trending streams or choice of study is HR, Finance, Sales and Marketing and many more. It is really very good growing sectors try your luck in this.
