B.Com is just basic graduation degree is to provide students with a wide range of skills in area of Commerce, Accounting and management. It also helps in preparing the students for business enterprises in Account and Finance roles. Some universities allow students to specialise in a particular subject in a final year. With pure B.Com career opportunities are very limited. Job offered to B.Com graduates are at lower end of organisation support chain. In order to have long term career, if there are no personal constraint, student may evaluate following additional qualifications: (a) M.Com (b) MBA (c)3 years law degree I.e. LLB (d) MCA if you had Maths in class 12 as a subject (e) Masters in Social work (f) MA Mass Communication (g) Join one year courses run by Private bank and BSchools (h) PG Diploma in Business Analytics (I) Business Analysis certification from IIBA (j) Professional jollifications such as CA/ CS/ CFA/ CMA/ LOMA etc
