A company which is bound to appoint a company secretary always gives priority to the one with his/her expertise in more than one field. I mean that a company secretary with a degree in law or being a chartered accountant will always be the first choice of the employer. However, a major part of your role will constitute of the application of your education, therefore, it is generally advisable to go for a job after the completion of CS. Once you have basic amount of work experience then pursuing higher studies will give your career a great boost. As mentioned, the other courses such as law, MBA, CA, etc., will help you look out for wider and better opportunities. Also, a job will help you understand the actual demand of the market, hence you will be able to make wiser choices of the courses that you should pursue and how you would need to prepare for them.
