Once you have completed your jewellery designing course, there will be ample of opportunities in both private as well as public sector. The jewellery design course is itself very extensive that there is no need to pursue higher studies. Also, in India, a specialised course in jewellery designing is available only at Bachelor's degree level or as a short-term Diploma. A degree in B.Sc Jewelry Design and Management will open up employment opportunities in the following sectors: Gem Retailing Research and Development Organizations Educational Institutions Gem Wholesaling Mines Writing and Publishing Houses Cultural & Art Jobs Model Making Jobs Jewellery Houses like Nakshatra, Tanishq, Gili and Swarovski hire such graduates. Other options are: Precious Stones Consultancies Jewelry Laboratories Jewellery Designing Companies Antique Houses Museums As a fresher, a jewellery designer can start his/her career in any of the industries with a monthly remuneration of about Rs. 10,000 or above. After two to three years of experience, one may earn up to Rs. 30,000 or more. The firms in foreign countries pay the candidates with much higher salary. In that place, even a fresher can earn a salary of Rs. 50,000 per month.
