It would be better if you choose B.Sc. And if engineering is your aim, then prepare for it while pursuing your B.Sc. Degree and give the exam again next year or otherwise, focus on B.Sc. And start preparing for post graduation exams in your second year of B.Sc.

I think, its better to prefer B.Sc as your financial condition is not good. And, if you want to write JEE Mains entrance exam, it would not be necessary to score good marks in 12th class.
