College environment, infrastructure, rank, placements, place where the college is situated, etc., are all the parameters you should consider while making a selection.

First of all, you have to select a specific branch because every college has their speciality in some branch such as IIT-Roorkee is famous for civil, IIT-Bombay for engineering physics (5-year integrated) and second on placements because these days, placement is like a second chance in your life. Many things can be considered while making a college selection, but these two are the important ones.

There are a lot of parameters that need to be looked upon while making a college selection. Before finalizing the college, first figure out what is your area of interest. Once you have figured that out, then look for colleges who are having that particular field (branch). Based on you admission test scores, you can choose the best possible college available for you. Apart from this, other factors which you should consider are college ranking and moreover reputation. It will always be helpful somewhere in future. Secondly, you should focus on campus culture. For example if you are interested in sports, then look for the sports facilities available in that particular campus. Or if you are interested in research, then see the research and technical campus. You can get more idea about this by talking to students from that campus. Placements also form a integral part in selecting colleges if you are planning to do a job immediately after for college gets over. If you plan to do further studies are your undergraduate degree, see for research background and ongoing work in that college. Keeping all this in mind, I think you can choose the best college option for yourself.

Most important parameter that could be selected is the brand name, how good the reputation is in the industry and how recruiters perceive the college. Secondly, the most important thing is the ranking of the college in India as well as globally and how recognized it is to gain that international repute. Thirdly, how the placement scenarios are over past 5 years and how many students get placed, along with salary package on average and median basis. Lastly, you could look for how many companies came and how many and offers were made, the brands which have been participating frequently and minimum as well as highest salary. Some other parameters include Infrastructure and campus facilities like hostel, mess, library, etc. Also, how much return on investment the Institution provides along with tuition fee and scholarship application. All in all parameters are must for consideration, and hence top25 colleges are highly recommend and preferred for safe lucrative career with ample opportunities of your choice. Best of luck ahead.

The process of picking the right college can be harrowing for students and parents alike. To make your life easier we have put together a list of 3 most important things to check before you zero in on an engineering college of your choice. 1. What are the credentials of the faculty that teach at the college? A college is as good as the faculty it attracts. You can learn a lot about the quality of an institute from its faculty. Check for the qualifications of the faculty on the college website. Usually decent colleges carry a short profile of each of their faculty with details of their educational qualification, research work and past experience. Also ask about the student- teacher ratio and find out about the research projects that the teachers are involved in. 2. What is the placement record of the institute? Check for the placement record of the institute. Typically, the best institutes manage to get the best placements for their students. Top companies recruit students from the best campuses. You can search online for placement- related news, look at the institute brochures or even consult alumni to find out about the previous year's placement . 3. Is it an approved and accredited institute? While this question is irrelevant for central and state government institutions, it becomes absolutely crucial when it comes to private colleges. Private engineering colleges must be approved by All India Council for Trchnical Education (AICTE). If the institution has a university status only then it does not need approval from AICTE because it can independently decide on its academic processes including curriculum, examinations and other details. According to the latest reports, universities cannot grant affiliation to technical colleges unless these institutions are pre-approved by AICTE. The best place to find details on approval etc is the official website of the university or college. You can also check the list of fake universities at UGCs website (
