Looking forward to Cabin Crew as your career is a good option for those who love to travel and are enthusiastic. The recent story which is trending nowadays on web world about Bette Nash, America's senior-most cabin crew who have been flying for the past 60 years and still making the skies comfortable for passengers at the age of 82. Her story is undoubtedly inspiring and should be an example for those who look to take the job of cabin crew as their career. In India, the aviation market is on the updraft and is expected to see the best of its times in coming years, so is the graph of careers for those who are serving for the aviation Industry. Although the salary presently is not at par with that on the global level as almost all the airlines are working consistently to improve their standards and get notified in world rankings. So expect a good career, full of enthusiasm and obviously travel. You will see the world and most importantly the operators will pay you for that. Good luck.

The duties of a cabin crew member in an airline is – 1) Attending pre-flight briefing, in which the members are assigned work. Crew is also informed about the flight details, no of infants, passengers with special requirements, no of senior citizens. 2) Carrying a preflight task which includes checking safety equipments, security checks, ensuring the aircraft is clean and tidy and that the information in the seat pockets is up to date and that all meals, drinks and stock are on board. 3) Welcoming passengers and directing them to their seats. 4) Informing passengers of the aircraft safety procedures and ensuring that all luggage is securely stored. 5) Serving meals and refreshments to the passengers. 6) Ensuring passengers disembark safely at the end of the flight. 7) Giving first aid if there is a necessity. 8) Completing paper work which includes writing a flight report. A cabin crew can earn around 30-35k in domestic airline and around 60k in International airline.
