After editing and proofreading course, you can become an editor/proofreader/writer/ book publisher/ book writer/ website content writer/ content editor, etc. The world has now been digitalized, so the scope of editor and proof-readers have increased both in India as well as abroad. But, the job of an editor and proofreaders is quite different. An editor has to check the Writing style, sentence formation, add or delete words/sentences/ paragraphs whenever required. Whereas proof readers check grammar, punctuation, spelling and other necessary elements of a content. One may join a newspaper agency, magazine, publishing company, or become a freelance editor or proofreader. This work requires very high concentration power and very strong hold on your language. You must have an excellent knowledge of the language, both grammatical as well as vocabulary. A good editor/ proofreader must avoid mistakes excessive use of words.
