Since textile is something used in daily needs, it is a growing topic now and then. A textile designer can be employed in the garment, fashion, home furnishing and the interiors segment among other industries. The textile industry in India is evolving from the handloom, power loom and craft sectors to newer areas, like the paper and automobile industries. For example, automotive textile deals with the fabric used in car interiors. For this, one should have three knowledge of the fabric to be used in the car seats which should be thick, durable, etc. Similarly, in other subfields, the textile is of great importance and has a very good scope regarding employment. For instance, one should know that Surat in Gujarat has one of the most known textile set up that employs about 40% of the population working in the textile sector.
