No difference as such. M.Sc is more research and theory oriented while B.Tech is more practical oriented. You can go for M.Tech after pursuing both. It's just that M.Tech after M.Sc. will take one year longer. Scope will be quite similar.

M.Tech is completely a technical field in which you perform different experiments and compare the results and observe the behaviour. On the other hand, M.Sc is dependent on the theoretical parts. I would suggest you go for M.Tech if you had done B.Tech.

The main difference is that M.Sc is more theoretical and B.Tech is more technical oriented study so I think you should go for B.Tech+M.Tech.
