There are many media-electronic and print- jobs in the public sector. There are jobs in the digital media as well. Documentary production is a specialised domain and there are such profiles in the TV media of the government I.e. Doordarshan. It should be appreciated that a course titled as documentary production shall have limited offerings if the nomenclature does not match the approved requisites. The national broadcaster offers jobs to documentary makers-Directors, Cameraman, Screen Writers and Editors. This may be noted that the same work also goes on in project assignment mode as well. Along with Doordarshan jobs, there are public relations departments in all states and at the central level. Also, there are many education-related departments of the government like UGC's CEC, CIET of NCERT managing the Gyan Darshan like channels. There are also IGNOU and SWAYAM MOOC platforms where documentary making course can get acknowledged for a job.
