What are the government job opportunities after completing Diploma in Architecture?

Diploma in architecture is a course for a student who completed his/her class 10th or 12th exam. D.Arch course is of 3-year and 6 semesters. After completing their course, one can get a job in various government and private companies for architecture and design. The aspirant can get a job in PWD, Municipal Corporations, Government housing boards, schemes and missions, Urban and rural development boards after this course. An aspirant can get the role of architecture assistant, site supervisor, draughtsman, CAD specialist, etc. Starting salary for these aspirants is 2- 2.50 Lacs per year and increases with time. But it is recommended for the aspirant to complete atleast their B.Arch from good college for better career and salary opportunities.

Hello! In Indian Architecture market, there are very lesser number of job opportunities after having only Diploma in this field. Government only hires the candidate with good qualification and excellent number of years spend in companies (means industrial exposure). After having only Diploma may not work for you. So, it is advisable that don't only attain Diploma but also try to acquire some professional degree like B.Arch or M.Aarch. It will boost your career and also make you eligible to make you apply for government organisation and Authority. The National Highway Authority of India regularly opens the window for Architecture candidate but at graduate and post Graduate level. At Diploma level, you can get the job only at the lower level of firms, companies. Your job profile is limited to lower division of work. But higher studies will give you chance. I hope this helps.
