The Master’s degree program in computer science is designed to prepare students with broad grounding in computer science as a discipline and also provide specialisation in a particular area of Computer Science. Master’s degree in computer science deepens students’ knowledge of computer science topics and increases their employability. It typically leads to better professional corporate employment opportunities and a higher salary. The PhD program aims at training students in the skills and competences related to the systematic investigation of various issues and problems in the area of their study. At this level, the study is expected to provide new and original insights into the problem or the area under investigation. Therefore, PhD in computer science prepares students for the field of education, research and consulting by training them to seek new knowledge in area of their expertise. If you plan to do research in the field of computer science then PhD is better option in comparison to a Master’s degree. If you want to work in IT companies, Masters in computer science is the better option.

A graduate degree requires a significant investment of time. Masters degrees require less time than doctoral degrees. Typically a full-time student might acquire Masters degree in about two years. A Ph.D usually requires at least five to six years and many people take seven to nine years. As a Ph.D takes longer to complete, it also requires more money. However, if admitted, in most research universities you will get support. The flip side to this is that a Ph.D. may yield a higher salary upon completion and is therefore worth the increased cost long term. During a Ph.D study, you are expected to do independent work and to get the degree that work will be vetted for originality and quality. With a Ph.D, you will be viewed as an expert, not just as a knowledgable worker and be trusted to supervise and teach others. It is not just a question of money. If you need help with academic writing (Masters or Ph.D) - PaperHelp.Org is the best academic writing service.
