Hi Fashion designing is not a subject anymore, rather has become an industry. Fashion designing has today evolved into a thriving, global, multi-billion-dollar industry. And its growth is fuelling demand for professionals who can think originally and innovatively about fashion and create sustainable and trendy designs. The subject is so vast that there are many sub-courses also introduced by the colleges. Fashion designing is an art used to create new designs for clothing and accessories. But to be able to create designs - you have to learn the basics of pattern making, fashion trends, industry demands, global scenarios and apparel merchandising. There are many tools like graphic designing, fashion communication, visual communications, etc. needed for the same. So I would suggest you to visit NIFT or NID websites and go through all the courses available for undergraduate courses. After going through all the courses one by one, now decide which course you want to do - just fashion designing or graphic designing or fashion communication or apparel merchandising. The decision should be taken on the basis of your interest area. All of them are very well paid. All the best.
