Mass Communication deals with the process of conveying or delivering a message to the general population through various media channels like radio, newspapers, magazines, television, internet and so on. However, Journalism is concerned with the compilation and transmission of news through the print media and electronic media. The circulation of information to a wide range of population remains the key function of mass communications whereas journalism requires investigation and coverage of any incident, occurrence or contemporary affairs, through mass media like the print, television or any new channel media, whereby Lacs of people all through the world may be able to know what is happening all over the world. Journalism is the initial step in mass communication, any news must be first reported in the proper format. Raw news and information available in the society must be analyzed properly and then must be converted into the form so that it can be transmitted to all the viewers. Good communication skills are must either it is verbal/written form.

Mass communication is the communication of information from a person, small group of people, or an organisation to a large group of heterogeneous and anonymous people. Simply, it is a mode of communication that reaches mass audience, e.g. - advertising and PR. Journalism is the activity or profession of writing for newspapers, magazines, or news websites or preparing news to be broadcast. And the person who does that, is a journalist. Mass media is a media and the technologies that help to reach large audiences via mass communication. In simple terms, it is a technology to reach large audiences. For example- Radio, Television and Newspapers. These three are inter related to communication. With the combined use of all these, one can communicate and connect with large group of people (masses). Say, a journalist gathers some information, he/she then advertises and then it reaches the masses via radio, television, etc. Their interrelation helps us to get information all around the globe instantly, easily and efficiently.
