As of now, a general idea of opening and closing category ranks of IIESTS is as follows following discussion is based entirely on the basis of the institute's record in 2017 which also happens to be the latest till date: For other state students: The opening category rank was 3147 for Computer Science and Engineering. The closing category rank for Metallurgy and Materials Engineering was 11691. The opening and closing ranks for all other departments lie in between these two extremes. For home state students: The opening category rank was 3801 for Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The closing category rank for Mining Engineering was 28098. The opening and closing ranks for all other departments lie in between these two extremes.
