An architect can work as an interior designer but an Id cannot. Architecture includes both designing of interior and exterior spaces of a particular area or project. Interior designing includes interior spaces and detailing. B.Arch has interior design as a subject. If you have inclination in detailing interior spaces, you should perceive B.Id and if you want both or design as major, you should go for B.Arch course. There are also Diploma courses in both fields.

Any and every architecture course has a specialisation in the final years. You could choose interior designing as a specialisation after your 2nd year as well as have knowledge of basic overall architecture. If you solely wish to do interior designing, only then a Bachelor's in interior designing would be a good option.
