A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is an undergraduate professional degree which prepares students for work as a teacher in schools. All graduate under at least 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate are eligible for seeking admission in BEd. TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) is a title given to teachers who have completed their graduation and training in teaching. TGT are employed as teachers to teach class up to X. PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) are teachers with post-graduate qualifications and educational training who can teach up to class XII. A B.Sc-BEd student is eligible for TGT roles in Government and private schools. Whereas, M.Sc-BEd is eligible for PGT roles in Government and private schools. PGT have better salary and perks over TGT teachers. PGT teachers have career opportunities to grow as scholl principal and administrators, Therefore, for long term career growth M.Sc-BEd is a better qualification over B.Sc-Bed.

B.Ed after B.Sc can give you an opportunity to become a teacher immediately after getting your degree. M.Sc will be an addition to your learning, even after completing B.Ed. But, if you opt for M.Sc first, then for getting a job you need to complete B.Ed. So, it's all up to you how much time you want to spend in completing your courses.

As per my knowledge, if you want to go for teaching in school up to 10th standard, then you can go for B.Sc B.Ed combination. And, if you want to be a teacher up to class 12th standard, then you have to be M.Sc. B.Ed.

You can pursue B.Ed after your graduation. According to me, I don't think it makes any different whether you go for B.Ed first or pursue Masters. At the end for the growth in your position, Masters is a must. It’s all upto you that what will you choose first. In both the conditions, you have to sacrifice your 4 years. Sacrifice in terms of to learn something. Hope my answer will help you.

It completely depends on you, if you just want to start your career as a teacher and do not want to waste time, you can do B.Ed after B.Sc, however, if you do B.Ed after M.Sc, you would be more diverse and can look for job opportunities in many fields. M.Sc is mastering the basics you have learned in your graduation, it will help you to understand the subject in depth. In addition, it will give you a number of options for your future. And obviously, people (employers) would prefer to hire a person with clear concepts and a good CV. So, as I mentioned above, it depends on you, you have to decide the aim of your life. B.Ed with B.Sc will lend you teaching, especially helpful in school teaching, whereas M.Sc will open many other doors for you. The only drawback I can think of is you may face an age limit factor at few places. So, decide carefully and proceed accordingly. Hope this helps and best of luck for your future.
