Arts are those subjects which are NON Science and Engineering-means no Machine or technology based title. Humanities, Social Sciences are part of a degree that falls in Humanities and Arts. Science on the other hand is Science. Bachelor stands for a graduation degree.

BA and BSC both are waste unless until you don't do hons in any subject which you would like to pursue for higher studies. if you are doing simple graduation then I guess either you are doing because you already have a job or full flourished business.

Bachelor of Arts course are considered as the Post HSc /12th Std, studies in Social Science(History ,Sociology), Geography, Economics(Theoretical), humanities, Civics,Political Science,Languages, Music, Drama, Literature etc. Bachelor of Science are the studies after HSc , in science subjects like Pure Science(Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) ,Biological Sciences (Zoology,Botany, Bio Technology,Micro-Biology,Bio Chemistry etc.) and Applied Science (Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electronics ) etc. Some Degrees , For examples in Psychology, Economics, Accountancy are offered as Both BSc and BA degree programs. Depends on type of studies. If Psychology course covers only theoretical aspects, the Degrees are awarded as BA-Psychology. If it is in an applied level studies, with practicals and clinical training, it should be Science Degree or BSc-Psychology. Like this normal Masters degree in Economics is known as MA programs, if it include application of matrix , it is called as Econometric and Degree will award as MSc. We can say that Course work of Arts Courses (BA & MA) help the students to sharpen their Communication, Language and Writing skills. Where as the Science students to improve their logical, comparison and analytical skills. Regards SEHEER A KADER OTTAYIL CAREER ADVISOR - VIDYACAREERS.COM Email : Zeheerottayil@yahoo.com
