There is no difference except the course name itself. Both courses are specially designed for Elementary Teacher Training I.e. Upper Primary (from Class VI to VIII). Students can apply for D.Ed or D.El.Ed course just after completing class 12th (Higher Secondary) with at-least 50% score. Both course is of 2 year Duration, the college/institute should approved by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). If you will successfully qualified D.Ed or D.El.Ed after 10+2, you can apply for TET Exam (Paper I - Primary Stage teachers). But, if you have 10+2+3 and D.Ed or D.El.Ed degree, you can apply for TET Exam (Paper I and Paper II together).
