B.Des is about designing and B.FTech is about manufacturing. In B. Des you have options: Accessories Design. Textile Design Fashion Communication Knitwear Design Fashion Design Leather Design. The first year, which consists of Foundation, is the same for everyone. Foundation consists of a syllabus which covers the basics of each department. But for the rest of the three years, students study one core field in their respective departments. Whereas in B.FTech there are no such departments. Students study apparel manufacturing, execution techniques and various other fields related to it. Also, having a PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) group in your twelfth standard is compulsory for B.FTech. The best colleges are: National Institute of Fashion Technology National Institute of Design Lovely professional University National Institute Of Interior and Fashion Technology Institute of Apparel Management International School of Design Indian Institute of Fashion Technology LISAA School of Design Vogart Institute of Design and Management, Delhi. Pearl Academy.

Hey, The terms are suggestive enough. FD focuses on the designing part of the garment and F.Tech focuses on the production of the garment on a larger scale and has hardly any relation to the designing part whatsoever.
