Food Production is a more confined field and related to cooking and culinary job. Chefs, food and beverage managers, food scientist and food inspectors are some of the job roles available. Food and Beverage are wider and includes job roles not only inside the kitchen based but also outside the restaurants and kitchens. Important skills in Food Production-a keen sense of taste and smell, passion for food, instinct/ intuition for mixing flavors, perfectionist, urge to innovate/ experiment, grit, determination, willingness to work for long hours, good memory (to remember different recipes), good organizational skills and innovativeness. Skillset for food and beverage manager-leadership skills. Good communication skills, flexibility, adaptability, problem-solving nature, pro-activeness, inventory management, conflict resolution, ability to work under pressure, ability to multi-task and good organizational skills.
