M.Tech is a post-graduate degree programme in Engineering and MBA is Masters degree in Business Administration. UG means undergraduate programmes like B.Tech, B.Sc or BA. Considering the post graduate programmes, if you feel you can contribute further to the growing world of technology after the completion of an M.Tech, then M tech may be preferred. Admissions to M Tech requires you to have a valid GATE score or state equivalent after your B Tech. If you are confident of your skills as a manager, wish to jump to some middle or higher management level and the aim to climb the corporate ladder then MBA is not a bad choice.

If you do MBA, you will perceive both managerial and technical skills. So, you'll have better job opportunities later on. So, I would prefer you to do MBA from a good college than M.Tech.

This would depend on your interest areas, and career aspirations. In case you intend to pursue a career in Technical / research / academics area, then M.Tech/ MS is better. However, if you want to move into general management the MBA is better. Salary is a function of many factors. It is advisable to pursue a course of your interest area, as chances of greater success will be there in doing what you like to do than doing something that doesn't meet your aspirations.
