The difference between Max level 1 and Max level 2 exam for Massachusetts Institute of Technology are as follows: Number and operations level 1 measures are more basic understanding of topics than level 2. For example, level 1 covers arithmetic of complex numbers and also covers graphical and other properties of complex number level 2 include series and vectors. Algebra and functions level 1 contains mainly algebraic equations and functions, whereas, level 2 also contains more advanced equation and functions such as exponential and logarithmic and trigonometry. Geometry and Measurement: A significant percentage of questions at level 1 is a devoted to a plane geometry and measurements, whereas, on level 2, the concepts learned in plane geometry are applied in questions on coordinate geometry and three dimensional geometry level 2 also includes questions about ellipse hyperbola and polar coordinates and coordinates in three dimensions. Trigonometry questions at level 1 are primarily limited to right angle trigonometry and fundamental relationships among trigonometric ratios, whereas, level 2 trigonometry emphasis on inverse trigonometric function trigonometric equations and identities and laws of Science and cosines. Data analysis statistics and probability both level 1 and level 2 include Mean, Median, and Mode range data interpretation and probability where is level 2 also include standard deviation but to level 2 also includes quadratic and exponential regression.
