MBA is a masters degree (higher qualification respect to graduation), PGDM (Post graduate diploma in management) is only a diploma course, not a degree where as MBA is a degree. MBA is provided by universities and institutes with affiliations of AICTE, DEB, UGC ( University grant commission). XLRI provides PGDM course.

MBA is offered by a university but PGDM is offered by a college (autonomous college).

XLRI provides post graduate Diploma in management. The difference you can figure out on your own. However, with regards to industry recognition, it makes no difference.
