MBA stands for Masters in Business Administration. PGDM stands for Post Graduate Diploma. Both are courses offered for management domains. Universities like BITS, etc., are allowed to offer MBA course while institutes like IIM, XLRI and NITIE offers PGDM courses. Specializations like finance, marketing, supply chain management, operations are offered in both the courses. Moreover, private colleges which are not affiliated to any university and are themselves not a university offer PGDM There is also an executive MBA and Executive PGDM offered which is for working professionals who are having experience up to 5 years in their domain. Both the courses have their own value and relevance, and it does not affect any of your career choices after pursuing any of the above degree or Diploma. There can be a little difference in course structure and syllabus but not much.
