Both the courses are of 2 years. B.Ed is for upper primary level and D.Ed is for primary level.

The duration of B.Ed is 2-years after completing graduation whereas the duration of D.Ed is 12-years after completing 10+2.

Both the courses are of 2 years. Both, B.Ed and D.Ed courses will equip individuals with teaching skills. Although, these are teaching courses, the training programs are entirely different. B.Ed is a Bachelor’s degree in education. Whereas, D.Ed is a Diploma in education. B.Ed is an undergraduate academic training program that carves up the graduates as teachers in a school. However, D.Ed is a Diploma course that qualifies intermediates as nursery teachers in kindergartens. The qualifications to pursue these two programs are also different.
