Signal processing is a common course in B.Tech ECE and Electronics syllabus. Some universities have signal processing course in M.Sc Physics. M.Tech in Signal Processing is a 2-year postgraduate course, designed for successful graduates of B.Tech ECE/Electronics or M.Sc Physics students he program essentially involves an advanced analysis, study, interpretation, and concepts of manipulation of signals. The eligibility criteria to seek admission in M.Tech Signal Processing is that the candidate must have qualified for the award of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology from a recognized University or Institute in Electrical/Electronics and Communication / Telecommunications Engineering (ECE), Telecommunications Engineering (T), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Instrumentation (IN) with minimum 60% marks and have qualified and have a valid score in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in ECE. Signal processing experts have job opportunities in following organisations in India: (a) Research organisation such as DRDO/ ISRO/ CDAC, etc. (b) Telecom operations or design.
